The education workers’ strike, organized by four major unions and now entering its third week, continues Monday with classes cut short in Kragujevac, Cacak, Kraljevo, and Uzice schools.
Class duration will be reduced from 45 to 30 minutes.
Head of the Union of Kragujevac Education Workers (USPRK) Milan Jevtic told the daily Danas that the rotating strike is being taken over by teachers working in schools under the school administration in Uzice, Cacak, Kraljevo, and Kragujevac.
The strike is organized by the Federation of Serbian Education Workers’ Unions (USPRS), the Serbian Education Union, the Nezavisnost Union of Serbian Education Workers, and the Union of Education Workers of Serbia.
Next week, from November 25 to 29, the strike is planned to take place in the cities of Nis, Krusevac, Jagodina, Leskovac, and Zajecar.
Last week, the strike was held in Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Sombor, and Valjevo.
