A press release said that Scholz launched preparations for the meeting as part of the Berlin Process to help move the dialogue forward. It said that Germany welcomes the agreement to continue talks reached by Vucic and Kurti in Brussels last week.
The European Union and US envoys for Kosovo, Miroslav Lajcak and Gabriel Escobar are due to visit Pristina and Belgrade this week, Radio Free Europe said quoting unnamed diplomatic sources who said that they want to find a solution for the entry documents for Serbian nationals entering Kosovo.
The press release said that it’s important for both sides to engage themselves constructively to find a viable solution and warned that escalation and violent protests benefit no one. It said that a comprehensive, stable agreement is needed to unlock the two sides’ European prospects and contribute to regional security.
