Energy minister at foundation ceremony for solar power plant

A government press release said that the solar power plant in Saraorci will have a capacity of 9.95 megawatts intended for consumption at home to cover the needs of some 2,500 households.

Djedovic said that Serbia’s solar power potential is some 30 percent higher than in Germany, which is a European leader in solar power. She said that the country’s current 157 solar power plants with a capacity of 23.3 megawatts are far below the potential.
