She said that she discussed the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti but that they did not focus on specific issues. “I think both sides will raise their expectations very high at this stage of the dialogue. I hope we will see a rapprochement of stands in the coming weeks and months and that can only be achieved by talking,” she said.

Asked about the liberalization of the visa regime for Kosovo, Von Cramon said that Kosovo met all the criteria, adding that the issue will be on the agenda of Germany’s European Union presidency. According to her, the EU did not do its job on the issue and has lost credibility. “It’s time for the EU to do its job, the conditions have been met and Kosovo must get liberalization,” she said.
