At its Thursday's session, the Europen Parliament will discuss the Resolution on 'forced labour' reported in the Chinese Linglong tire factory in northern Serbia and mass environmentalists' protests against two controversial laws said to be in favour of the Rio Tinto lithium mining in the west of the country.

N1 has learned on Wednesday that the EP’s Greens and Liberals submit a joint initiative for the Resolution, whose text is still to be finalised will be presented in Strasbourg on Thursday by MEP Klemen Groselj.

Earlier on Wednesday, Serbia’s Government withdrew from the Parliamentary procedure the controversial Expropriation Law and announced changes to the Law on Referendum, thus meeting the demonstrators’ demands.

Some of the protests’ organisers said no new rallies would be called for if the Parliament passed the changes.
