US envoy Gabriel Escobar refused to comment on his meetings with top officials in Pristina on Monday.

He told reporters after his meeting with Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti that the visit is part of his routine engagement.

Escobar also met with President Vjosa Osmani.A press release quoted her as expressing gratitude for the clear message from the US on the latest events in Kosovo. Osmani accused Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic of heading the “illegal structures organized into criminal gangs” in the north.

Escobar also met with officials of the Belgrade-backed Serb List

Escobar is scheduled to meet with political party leaders on Tuesday.
