EU Ambassador expects greater commitment from new government

European Union Ambassador Emanuele Giaufret said on Tuesday that he expects greater commitment on the European path from the new Serbian government.

He said during a visit to Belgrade University’s School of Political Science that he expects the EU to engage more with the Serbian parliament and government. The head of the EU Delegation delivered a lecture on the latest European Commission report on Serbia.

According to Giaufret, Serbia is fully included in the Erazmus and Horizon programs and added that 13,000 Serbian students and professors traveled to the EU as part of those programs since 2014 with 5,000 students and professors coming to Serbia from the EU.
