The European Union (EU) has approved Serbia's Reform Agenda, clearing the way for a 112 million euro payout from the EU's Western Balkans Growth Plan by the end of the year, reported the Serbian state TV (RTS).

It said the development was announced on the official X account of the Hungarian Presidency of the Council of the EU.

“The Reform Agendas of Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia have been approved under the new €6 billion Reform and Growth Facility. This paves the way for pre-financing to begin during the Hungarian Presidency,” reads the X post.

EU member states approved reform agendas for all Western Balkan countries, with the exception of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has yet to submit a comprehensive reform program.

This political decision is also the final step in the process of approving the Reform Agenda, which was previously adopted by the Serbian government and positively assessed by the European Commission.
