In a post on social media, Kos said the Serbian parliament had taken "an important step in the right direction" by correcting the judicial laws adopted in January.
"This helps rebuild trust," she wrote.
Kos also said she had discussed Serbia's EU accession process with Ana Brnabic, outlining the reforms Brussels expects Belgrade to pursue next.
According to Kos, Serbia now needs to move forward with electoral reform in line with recommendations from the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights through a transparent and inclusive process. She also stressed the importance of strengthening media freedom and bringing Serbia's foreign and security policy into closer alignment with that of the European Union.
The comments come as Brussels continues to assess Serbia's progress on reforms considered key to its EU accession process.
