EU Council renews EULEX mandate

"The Council adopted a decision extending the mandate of the EU Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo* (EULEX KOSOVO) for a further two years, until 14 June 2027," it said.

It quoted EU High Representative Kaja Kallas as saying that EULEX is the largest EU Civilian mission and plays a crucial role in supporting Kosovo’s democracy, security, rule of law and reconciliation among local communities. "It is therefore important that we can keep up this vital work. A safe Kosovo also contributes to European security," she said.
