The European Union envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Peter Sorensen said Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic should meet only when both sides are prepared to deliver concrete results in implementing previously reached agreements.

In an interview with Pristina-based Gazeta Express, Sorensen said the dialogue process should not depend on one side waiting for the other to make the first move, stressing that progress requires commitment and practical action from both parties.
Sorensen said the goal of EU efforts is to help the sides return to discussions focused on implementation and tangible outcomes rather than political exchanges without results. He added that expectations should be realistic and that agreements already reached need to be addressed through concrete steps.
The EU-facilitated dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia has faced repeated delays and disputes over implementation, despite international calls for renewed engagement.
Sorensen said continued communication and readiness to compromise remain essential for advancing the process.
