Serbian European Integration Minister Tanja Miscevic co-chaired the 10th annual European Union-Serbia Stabilisation and Association Committee meeting in Belgrade on Wednesday, a press release said.
The meeting, co-chaired by Jiri Plecity, Head of the Montenegro and Serbia unit in the Directorate-General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations at the European Commission, discussed the recommendations in the European Commission Report on Serbia and measures taken as well as the Reform Agenda and government efforts to implement criteria for EU membership by 2026.
“The meeting noted that the European Commission reiterated its assessment that Serbia has met the criteria to open Cluster 3 (Competitiveness and Inclusive Growth) and is working towards opening additional clusters while improving the rule of law and fundamental rights, normalising relations with Pristina, and strengthening regional cooperation,” the press release said.
EU member states did not approve the opening of cluster 3 last week.
