One of the organizers of EuroPride, Goran Miletic, told Tanjug that President Aleksandar Vucic said that no one should turn away from their family members and people in their environment just because they have a different sexual orientation.
"The way Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke about members of the LGBT population today is the first time that a high-ranking representative of the state has spoken about this community as equal citizens of this society who must enjoy all human rights like the others," said the EuroPride coordinator and stated that the march will certainly be held on September 17.
“President Vucic primarily said that we must be equal, that we are part of the family, and he also spoke with his personal example, which is a new quality for someone to say that there is a member of the LGBT community in his family," said Miletic, according to Tanjug.
