An exhibition of Belgrade Informel artists has been set up almost 60 years after the first exhibition of the Belgrade Movement at the Modern Gallery Belgrade in the city’s central Dorcol neighborhood.
The exhibition features work by eight of the most important artists in the group: Miodrag Mica Popović, Vera Bozickovic-Popović, Lazar Vozarević, Zoran Pavlovic, Zivojin Zika Turinski, Branislav Branko Protic, Vladislav Silja Todorović and Branko Filipovic Filo. It is open up to June 15 with Belgrade University Professor Jasa Denegri hosting a tour on Saturday, June 12 at 1:00 pm.
The first exhibition Informel – Young Belgrade Painters was organized in 1962 at the Belgrade Culture Center gallery.
