Director Milos Avramovic’s production company Regime was awarded the job worth some 14 million Dinars (1 Euro – 117 Dinars). The movie is supposed to be prodcued over the three year period leading up to EXPO 2027.
Avramovic is one of the prominent Serbians who signed a letter of support to Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s election ticket for the December 2023 elections which were heavily criticized by foreign observers.
Avramovic’s Regime produced the Southern Wind series with one episode featuring actors Eric Roberts and William Boldwin as Americans bringing money to environmental activists in western Serbia to protest the opening of a lithium mine. State officials have been accusing protesters and environmental activists of taking money from foreign secret services to oppose the Rio Tinto project to open a lithium mine in the Jadar area.
