Farmers blocked a major road with tractors in central Serbia on Wednesday protesting a 60 percent increase in their property taxes.
The farmers blocked the Raca-Topola road for 3 hours in the afternoon, saying that they would block the road for an extra hour every day until their demands are met. Those demands include the resignations of Raca municipal officials and an expression of support for protesting students.
The farmers in the Raca area have been using their tractors to block the municipal administration building.
