Film ‘Quo Vadis, Aida?’ wins IFFF Dortmund+Köln's main prize

The oscar-nominated film “Quo Vadis, Aida?” by Bosnia's Jasmila Zbanic received the International Feature Film award at the 38th Internationales Frauen Film Fest Dortmund+Köln 2021, the Association of Artists Deblokada said Monday.

Jury member Monica Treutdeclared “Quo Vadis, Aida?” a winner and the prize is €15,000 euros, of which 5,000 are awarded to the director, and the other €10,000 will be paid to the distributor who will then promote the film in Germany.



Other members of the jury were Elma Tataragic (screenwriter and producer) and Marga Almirall Rotés (director of the Barcelona International Women's Film Festival).

The Internationales Frauen Film Fest Dortmund+Köln is one of the most important women's film festivals in the world. It is held every two years in the said cities.

The “Quo Vadis, Aida?” will start showing in German cinemas on August 5.
