Sinisa Mali, the Finance Minister of Serbia, said that so far 607,000 young people have applied for state aid of 5,000 dinars (approx 42 euro) each, adding that the payments start on December 16.
“Application period lasts until December 15 through the Treasury Board, and the payment will start on December 16, and I believe that we will finish the payment by December 19,” Mali told Prva TV.
The minister also said that young people aged between 16 and 29 are entitled to this assistance and that it is necessary for everyone to apply, regardless of whether they have already received state assistance.
According to him, six billion dinars were allocated from the budget for this purpose.
