FinMin Mali: Period of Serbia’s fastest economic development
This is a period of Serbia’s fastest economic development, we are investing in infrastructure, which is making us an attractive country, investors are coming, new jobs are opening up thanks to which we have the money to keep increasing salaries, pensions and making future investments, a press release from Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali’s office quoted him as saying on Monday.
Mali told Prva TV that the (Specialized) Expo 2027 exhibition is a huge developmental opportunity for Serbia, and that a total of 17 billion euros of investments are planned, with 2.5 billion allocated in this year's budget.
The Minister said work on the construction of the site for (Specialized) Expo 2027 is under way, that it will spread on 250 hectares of land, and that is it “an extremely difficult site for construction,” which is why 4.5 million cubic meters of sand and a million cubic meters of rock will be placed in this area.
