The N1 crew was ordered to move away from the main Clinical Center building by security guards, one of who said that nothing was happening and that there is no fire despite the heavy smoke.

The Beta news agency said that it was told by the Internal Affairs Ministry that the fire was reported just after 8 am in a small cable hub room, adding that 26 firefighters and five vehicles were dispatched to the site. Construction workers were evacuated. One of the workers told Novosti daily that the fire broke out on the first floor of the new building.
