The first N1 TV election campaign debate in which representatives of four election tickets presented their positions on key issues aroused great viewer interest, and, during the debate, N1 television was the cable channel with highest ratings in the SBB network.
According to measurements by TV Beat, from 9 pm to 11 pm N1 had a share of 8.28%. The public broadcaster had a higher rating during the same period on account of broadcasting a Champions League match.
In addition, N1 also broadcast the debate on the n1info.rs website and on its Facebook page.
The representatives of tickets for parliamentary elections who took part in the debate include Miroslav Aleksic – Serbia Against Violence ticket, Bosko Obradovic – National Gathering, Milos Jovanovic – Hope for Serbia and Vukic Jeremic – People’s Party.
N1 invited the ruling coalition’s Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) to the debate but both refused the invitation.
The main topic discussed were Kosovo, European integration, sanctions against Russia, cooperation with BRICS, fight against corruption, measures to improve the standard of living, lithium extraction, public companies… They also presented their opinions on whether the system failed in connection with the May mass shootings at the Vladislav Ribnikar elementary school and in villages of Dubona and Malo Orasje, on how to prevent growing violence and femicide.
This was the first of the three election debates that N1 will host. A debate between participants of provincial elections will be held next week, and the participants of the Belgrade local elections will present their views in our studio on December 12.
