Students at the 1st Grammar School in Kragujevac walked out of classes on Wednesday afternoon in a show of solidarity with protesting university students.
Seniors at the Belgrade 10th Grammar School decided to stop classes in support of the student protest, the second high school to do so on Thursday.
One of the seniors told an N1 reporter that the goal is to support the university students and their demands. “They have been protesting for two week and nothing has changed. We felt the need to join them,” Jovan Nikolic said and added that they want to make people understand the situation in the country and the fact that someone is responsible for the 15 deaths at Novi Sad Railway Station on November 1.
The senior said the students would start their blockade of the school on Thursday evening and continue it to 11:52 am on Friday when they will stand in front for 15 minutes of silence in memory of the people killed in Novi Sad.
Another student said that the main message are words of comfort for the families. “Forgetting is the worst disease,” he said and added that their rebellion must civilized.
