Commenting on the upcoming UN General Assembly session on a draft Resolution on the Srebrenica genocide, Serbian Internal Affairs Minister Ivica Dacic said Serbian President Aleksanda Vucic is on an impossible mission to win the vote on the Resolution.

“But the result will be such that they (the West) will not be satisfied, because they kept saying they have a two-thirds majority,” said Dacic, confirming that the vote is expected to be held on Thursday.

He said the Western powers are exerting strong pressure on the countries that oppose the Resolution, so many countries can be expected to abstain from the vote. However, he noted that only those for and against will counts, regardless of the number of abstentions.

“We are fighting here against the strongest countries – Germany, Great Britain, America, France, the Islamic Conference, Turkey,” said Dacic, adding that it should not turn out that Montenegro and North Macedonia are the main creators of the Resolution.

“We should not be angrier with them (than with the others) and demonstrate our power, we should rather be angry with the West,” said Dacic, adding, however, that it isn’t right or brotherly of them to vote in favor of the Resolution.
