“If anyone should apologize for any oversight, it’s me. I apologize to the president and to the entire public as a minister. I don’t wish to shift the blame on anyone in the Ministry, and I don’t want to go into explaining how the vote was held seven times,” Djuric told K1 TV.
The circumstances dictate the situation, and our task is to monitor that and to make predictions, the minister said.
Djuric said Serbia will adhere to the principle of respecting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of internationally recognized states, noting that this situation has prompted a campaign aimed at exerting pressure on the president and the Government regarding who will be its associates, members, and what kind of policies will be pursued.
He said there have been tectonic shifts in the United States, changes in key European countries, and a redistribution of power and that Serbia has access to decision-makers.
President Vucic has excellent relationships with and enjoys the trust of figures ranging from Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin to Xi Jinping and leaders of the European Union.
“We are changing things, we are the ones fighting for change in Serbia, we are the ones who know better what is right and what isn’t,” said Djuric.
