Serbian Foreign Minister Marko Djuric said on Wednesday that the government has shown unprecedented tolerance for the student protests.

“I think we have shown unprecedented tolerance over the past five months both in terms of unregistered public gathering and various forms of pressure. We have shown great moderation as a state in our reaction,” he told the pro-government TV Prva.

According to Djuric, new Prime Minister Djuro Macut has taken the first steps towards easing tensions. He expressed concern over the “continuing illegal and auto-destructive blockades” and added that there can be no justification for the blockade of the state TV (RTS).
