Former ambassador comments on Vucic's interview with German media: Mechanical denial of everything he didn't like, without elaboration

He stressed that one cannot accuse a journalist of not being objective if the questions are perceived as unpleasant by interviewee.

"That looks bad. And you cannot claim that, if there are some protesters there, and at times there are hundreds of thousands of them, that it is because they have been misled by propaganda. Those are too cheap answers to convince someone that they are objective and accurate," he stressed.

Bozinovic noted that FAZ is the main German newspaper and that it was previously believed that when something appeared in it, it was some kind of political mainstream in Germany.

"Every interview given to FAZ in all countries, I have seen this during my diplomatic career, is prepared seriously. So, nothing is improvised. We used to have to prepare the interviewee for such an interview, making sure that everything that was important to us at that moment was said in a way that would go over well with the interviewee," he stressed.

Asked about Russian paramilitary camps in Serbia, where Moldovans and Romanians were trained to cause unrest in Moldova, where parliamentary elections are being held this weekend, which analysts assessed as crucial for the country's future course, he replied that this is a blow to Serbia's politics and its reputation.

"Now, whether you will say you didn't know about it, so no one will believe you didn't know, that's up to you to decide," he said.
