The former Kosovo police officer whose arrest sparked protests and road blocks has been ordered held for 30 days, his lawyer told N1.
Dejan Pantic quit the police a month ago along with fellow Serb officers after their regional commander was suspended for refusing to issue warnings and fines to Serb drivers whose vehicles have Serbian-issued license plates. He was arrested on Saturday at the Jarinje border crossing and charged with organizing and taking part in an attack on the police a few days earlier.
Lawyer Srdjan Mitrovic said that his client is in detention at Jarinje, adding that the sentence will be appealed.
