Goran Jesic, a former vice president of the Vojvodina Government, has been released from custody, Nova.rs reported.
Jesic was initially arrested during protests in Novi Sad on November 5, when he pushed a police officer who was escorting an arrested young man.
He is accused of assaulting an official performing public safety duties.
Misa Baculov, leader of the Heroes citizens’ group, was released from custody on Friday, his lawyer confirmed to N1. Baculov was detained after the November 5 protests in Novi Sad organized in response to the railway station tragedy.
During the protests Baculov spilled outside the Novi Sad City hall liquid initially reported as sewage but later confirmed to be water from the Zrenjanin municipal supply.
