Foundation: Young Serbian chemists win five medals at tournament in South Korea

The Foundation said the competition, held in Hoengseong from August 15 to 19 and featuring teams from around the world, saw the Serbian team win a bronze medal in the team standings, while its members won four medals and a special award in the individual competition.

The International Chemistry Tournament (IChTo 2026) is one of the most challenging and prestigious team chemistry competitions and has been held since 2017.

The tournament brings together high school teams that tackle complex, multidisciplinary problems in chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, pharmacy and related sciences.

The 1% Foundation said it would continue to support young scientists, researchers and innovators in fulfilling their potential and representing Serbia at the highest international level.
