French ambassador: We want to help Serbia on its European path

Speaking about the different levels of cooperation and brotherhood between Serbia and France, ambassador Pierre Cochard also said that 600 million euros have been invested in Serbia through the French Development Agency, that there are numerous French investments, and he also stressed that there is a great deal of scientific and cultural cooperation.

"Evidence of this is the film by the great Serbian filmmaker Dragan Bjelogrlic, who is with us today, which was realised in French-Serbian co-production and which will be shown at the festival in Locarno. The film tells about an episode that symbolises that brotherhood, about the Yugoslav scientists who were irradiated in Vinci in 1958, who were treated in France and who were saved thanks to the donation and the first bone marrow transplant in the world, which was performed by the Curie Institute”, he said.
