Frontex says Western Balkans main arms smuggling region

The network quoted a Frontex risk assessment report that said the EU border with the Western Balkans pose the highest risk in terms of arms smuggling.

It said that 39 percent of all weapons smuggled into the EU come through the Western Balkans region and added that relatively small shipments are brought through in passenger vehicles, most of the arms coming from post-conflict countries.
