German Ambassador to Serbia Anke Konrad said the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina needs to resume and that the agreement signed in Ohrid is “binding for everyone.”

Konrad said it was agreed that the document would become an integral part of the process of Serbia’s accession to the European Union and that it is binding in this sense.

The same goes for Kosovo, the Ohrid and Brussels agreements are good for both sides, they are not a unilateral step that gives everything to one side, said Konrad in an interview with the weekly NIN.

Kosovo and Serbia agreed on a final text of the Agreement on the path to normalization between Kosovo and Serbia in February 2023, and on a roadmap for its implementation it in March 2023 in Ohrid.

The Ambassador said the Ohrid agreement is not confidential and that anyone can read it. She explained that normalization of relations implies various activities, including what has been agreed on in Ohrid – not objecting to Kosovo’s membership in international organizations.

Konrad reiterated that this normalization is her country’s goal and that Germany will contribute to the process, together with partners, in order to finally achieve results.

She added that the results include what the Serbia side has repeatedly requested – the full implementation of the 2013 Brussels agreement and all other previously reached agreements.
