Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret said that, though not binding, the European Parliament (EP) Resolution, which requests that Serbia’s EU accession negotiations be made conditional on the introduction of sanctions against Russia, is a very important document.

Giaufret said the EU continues its policy that has been framed by the EU Council and noted that a great deal of attention is paid to what the EP says.

We want Serbia with us, we want it as an EU member and we are working on that through reforms, political engagement and full alignment with the EU common foreign and security policy, said Giaufret, adding that a lot more needs to be done in order to resolve the problems in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue.
