The Serbian Government adopted Friday a decree that provides for solving the problem of housing for at least 150 vulnerable refugee families from former Yugoslav republics in the course of this year.

A press release issued after the Government meeting said that it adopted the “Decree on establishing the Program for the use of funds to address housing needs and other programs for the integration of refugees in 2024.”

The goal of the program is to provide refugees from the former Yugoslav republics with a solution to their housing needs and provide assistance in the integration process, it said.

“The number of families that will be beneficiaries of aid in 2024 depends on the number of applications submitted, and it is planned to solve the housing issue for at least 150 vulnerable refugee families,” said the Government.
