The Serbian Government on Thursday began publishing on its website documents from the Ministry of Construction, Transport, and Infrastructure pertaining to the possible crimes resulting in the collapse of the Novi Said railway station canopy.

The concrete canopy collapsed on November 1, claiming the lives of 15 people and leaving two others seriously injured.

The release of these documents was a demand made by protesting students, and was announced Wednesday by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. The government followed through with the decision on Thursday.

The government also announced a 20 percent increase in funding for higher education institutions’ operating costs for 2025 compared to the 2024 budget.
