
The Serbian government earmarked funds to set up a financial support program for underdeveloped municipalities, a press release said on Thursday.
It said that the government earmarked 365 million Dinars (1 Euro – 117 Dinars) for the program to encourage regional development across the country.
“The aim of the Decree is to contribute to the improvement of the infrastructural capacities of extremely underdeveloped municipalities, through the construction and reconstruction of municipal infrastructure, the construction, reconstruction and adaptation of facilities in the fields of education, health, tourism, social protection, culture, sports and water management, as well as other facilities owned by local self-government units,” the press release said.
