Graffiti commemorating Srebrenica in central Belgrade

The graffiti saying We Remember with a round white flower (the symbol of the grief of the mothers of Srebrenica) was painted in the Cumicevo Sokace mall.

The start of the mass killings of Moslem men and boys taken by Serb forces from the Srebrenica enclave in eastern Bosnia in 1995 was marked at the Potocari memorial center on Tuesday. About 8,000 people were taken from Srebrenica after it was taken by Bosnian Serb forces. According to official figures, 6,721 remains have been buried to date. A total of 47 people have been convicted for taking part in the killings.

A few dozen people gathered in front of the Serbian Presidency building on Tuesday evening to light candles for the Srebrenica victims.
