Former US Envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Richard Grenell said that Kosovo’s Prime Minister Albin Kurti “is not a good leader for the people of Kosovo” and that other leaders, such as former Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, were better, Beta reported.

This is not just my opinion, I believe that the current US government also sees it this way. Remember how (Kurti) went to Washington but never made it to the White House, he never went in. He stood across the street with the administration staff, Grenell told the daily Politika.

The former US Envoy in the US President Donald Trump’s administration said that something like this could never have happened while Trump was president, that high-level meetings would have been organized and strong and clear messages sent.

If the people of Kosovo want to go forward, they know we made much more progress when Thaci was president, Grenell was quoted as saying.

Grenell added that the current US President Joseph Biden’s administration said that it does not wish to be included in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue and voiced his opinion that the European Union, which is now in charge, expects a lot of talk and little action.
