The founder of the "New Optimism" movement, Branislav Guta Grubacki, said that he finds it “suspicious” that European Parliament Rapporteur for Serbia, Vladimir Bilcik, wants to exclude Telekom Serbia from the EP Report on the country.

The document requesting that Telekom Serbia not be mentioned in the EP report on Serbia's progress is a proposal Bilkic put forward at a meeting on the harmonization of amendments, a source from the European Parliament told N1.

"The position of Telekom was an issue raised by Marinika Tepic three years ago, many people did not it the way they should have, they did not understand the possibility of manipulation through the money of all of us, the purchase of two televisions through the sale of Kopernikus, with a price 15 times higher than the real one, enabled the kind of media monopoly this regime has. Anyone who deals with public affairs knows how these things happened," Grubacki said.

He strongly criticised Bilcik.

"If Vucic has realised anything, then it is that he is not the only fifth-rate politician on the European scene, but that third-rate politicians throughout Europe are prone to corruption and manipulation of various kinds. I cannot accuse Bilcik of being part of the corrupt system, but it is very suspicious how he treated facts regarding what was done in connection with Telekom,” he said.

Grubacki argued that, through Telekom, “the whole entire scene” is being financed to silence any attempts to raise awareness about social issues in the country.
