Herzog to Vucic: Israel grateful for Serbia’s support

A press release from the Serbian President’s media service quoted Herzog as saying that "Serbia, throughout the past year of pain and suffering, has been a loyal ally to Israel," providing support "in numerous ways, both fundamental and of essential significance".

"We are especially grateful for the help you have provided to the family of Alon Ohel, a dual citizen of Serbia and Israel, who was brutally kidnapped by Hamas terrorists and is still held captive in barbaric conditions in Gaza," the message said and added that Serbia's efforts and assistance in his release are deeply appreciated.

"Your government has truly been a clear voice of morals, defending Israel as we engage in a war of self-defense against a brutal terrorist enemy," Herzog said, adding that the two countries are developing partnerships in several fields, including the economy, security, and politics which he hopes will deepen and develop.
