Housing prices rise in Serbia

The Serbian Republic Statistics Office (RZS) said on Wednesday that the average price of newly-built housing rose by 17.6 percent in 2022.

It said that the average price per square meter of housing was 209,958 Dinars or about 1,800 Euro. The average size of newly-built housing is 57 square meters. The prices ranged from 52,000 Dinars (about 445 Euro) in the southern town of Bujanovac to 459,049 Dinars (about 3,900 Euro) per square meter in the Belgrade municipality of Savski Venac.

The RZS said that the highest prices were recorded in Belgrade where the average price of new housing stood at 304,030 Dinars (about 2,600 Euro) and were 19.2 percent higher than in 2021.
