Hovenier: No executive powers for CSM
The US Ambassador in Pristina Jeff Hovenier said on Thursday that the Community of Serb Municipalities (CSM) has to be in line with Kosovo Constitution and can’t have executive powers.
Radio TV Kosovo (RTK) quoted him as telling a news conference that the draft CSM statute presented by the European Union and US meets those two criteria.
He said that the sensitive document was drafted in secrecy to allow an agreement and added that the draft statute will be made public in due time.
According to the ambassador Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti accepted the confidentiality.
