Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic stepped in to prevent an incident at his Sunday night news conference when party officials loudly expressed dissatisfaction with an N1 reporter's questions.

N1’s Zaklina Tatlovic asked him to comment on the fact that the Republic Election Commission (RIK) decided to close down for the night and asked him if he felt that he chaired the RIK. She also asked if he was embarrassed by his campaign video showing him stepping out of a refrigerator in a country where most people barely make ends meet. Both questions drew loud dissatisfaction from the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) officials and activists standing behind Vucic.

The SNS leader turned to them saying: "What’s wrong with you people!"

He apologised to Tatalovic and asked her to continue with the questions before replying.

Most party and state officials in Serbia appear at news conferences with a number of party officials and activists standing behind and around them at news conferences.
