Indian guru Sadhguru stops in Belgrade en route to India

A crowd of several hundred people gathered in the city’s central Republic Square for his performance focused on the environment, an N1 reporter said. The guru’s mission is said to be saving the environment which has earned him several Indian state awards as well as an award for contributions to social welfare. Sadhguru’s other views on Hindu nationalism and traditional medicine have caused controversy.

Sadhguru, born Jagadish Vasudev, holds a degree in English from the University of Mysore in his home city.
