The Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime raised an indictment against 19 individuals, including high profile defendants Veljko Belivuk and Darko Saric, for murders committed in Corfu and Athens in 2020, it said in a statement.
They are charged with conspiracy to commit criminal offenses and two counts of aggravated murder, reads the statement.
It said the charges relate to the murders of Stevan Stamatovic and Igor Dedovic in Athens in January 2020, and the killings of Alan Kozar and Damir Hadzic in Corfu on July 23, 2020.
Veljko Belivuk and Darko Saric, along with Radoje Zvicer, a Montenegrin national who is also facing legal action in Greece, are identified as the key organizers.
The indictment is partly the result of a joint investigation by judicial authorities from Serbia and Greece.
It has been submitted to the Higher Court’s Special Department for Organized Crime in Belgrade for confirmation.
