The Serbian Interior Ministry (MUP) disclosed information about the 14 individuals detained following the November 5 protests in the city of Novi Sad.

The demonstrations erupted after a concrete canopy collapsed at the city’s main railway station on November 1, claiming 14 lives and leaving three people seriously injured.

Responding to what they described as “malicious and false claims,” the Ministry issued a press release saying the police took action against 14 people during and after the protest, and included a list of all 14 detainees, identified by initials, along with the reasons for their detention.

“Police officers from the Novi Sad Police Department are actively working to identify and apprehend all individuals involved in the violence,” the Ministry said in the press release.
