The Serbian Internal Affairs Ministry granted the appeal of Russian national Elena Koposova and adopted a decision under which she is not a security threat and is not required to leave the country.

This paves the way for Koposova to be granted temporary residence in Serbia, Danas reported.
The Serbian Security Intelligence Agency (BIA) earlier found that Koposova was a security threat, following which she was ordered to leave the country within 30 days.
Elena earlier said she believes she was found to be a security threat to Serbia over her signature in an antiwar letter of March 2022 in connection with the war in Ukraine.
“Bombs shouldn’t fall on people’s heads. That is why I put my signature down. It’s the only reason,” Elena told Danas.
Koposova has been living in Serbia with her husband and two sons for four years now. She is a translator and in Russia she worked for a number of prominent publishing companies.
