“The informal IT communities of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Kragujevac, and Nis, which bring together professionals from the IT sector, continue their fight for a fairer system and dignity of work under the name IT Blockade. Since the students’ demands have not yet been met, we are taking to the streets again on Wednesday, February 12, together with the students and educators - because this is not just a student issue, it is our joint struggle,” they said.
They noted that after communities in Belgrade and Novi Sad were formed, groups have now been established in Kragujevac and Nis, with support growing each day.
“We currently have over 15,000 members. We, who develop the technologies of the future every day, cannot remain silent in the face of the injustice that stifles this country’s potential. This is not just a protest, it is a message that we will not stop until we have a system that values knowledge, effort, and justice. Students have shown courage and determination for months — it is now our turn to stand with them,” they added.
