Serbia's President Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday, "it appears" to him he would sign the controversial Law on Expropriation, seeing nothing unconstitutional in the amendments passed by the Parliament. Pročitaj više

Speaking to a pro-regime TV channel on Sunday night, Vucic said he „would have objections if he had seen the Law on Referendum“ and that he thought he signed it, but was sure he did not sign the Law on Expropriation yet.

Visiting the Belgrade Underground system works on Tuesday, he told reporters he read three opinions on the Law with objections, but none said that the Law was not in line with the Constitution.

Vucic said that he did not like threats and ultimatums and was not afraid of protests against that Law or traffic blockades since he could only be defeated in elections – or killed.

„That decision (on signing the Law) will not be based on the wishes of the opposition; I will never flatter the street,“ he added.

Vucic said that he was accountable to the people in the elections.
