Bus company owner Milomir Jacimovic told Nova TV on the 8th day of his hunger strike in Novi Sad that he would be calling for gathering in Belgrade to get things resolved.

He said he has a few more things up his sleeve. “The last thing will be my call for a gathering in Belgrade which no one will leave until some things are resolved…. I will call all of Serbia and the diaspora and we’ll see,” he said adding that the gathering will most probably be in front of parliament opposite the Caciland tent camp set up by regime supporters between the presidency and parliament.

Jacimovic started his hunger strike after the police seized several of his buses during or before protests which he supported.

He said that cabinet minister Maja Gojkovic turned up across the street from where he was on hunger strike on Sunday about the same time that a group of men tried to demolish his tent. “As soon as we put up our banners 5-6 cars appeared right before Gojkovic, I doubt anyone forced her to be there. An older man tore up the banners, hit a child and put masks on the car license plates to hide them,” he said.

He confirmed that the bus that was returned to him on Monday was parked at the Novi Sad city public transport company after being seized for what the police said was a security check. “That is the first vehicle returned. It was the one going to Brussels, the first one in my company, my favorite,” he said.
